Leadership Team
I am delighted to be the Foundation Principal for West Rolleston Primary School. I feel very strongly about the importance of school community and will work alongside the staff, BoT and families/whānau to create a school where children feel safe and enjoy many opportunities for learning and success.
I have taught in Christchurch, Levin and London. Prior to this position I was the principal of Shirley Primary School for eight and a half years. I have a Diploma in Teaching, a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Education with Distinction endorsed in Leadership.
Favourite Book: I try to read everything my kids read so lots of dystopian novels at the moment

When I'm not at West Rolleston Primary I am running my kids around to their various sports and dance activities with my husband Tony, or I am trying to keep fit and healthy with a bit of tennis, or a nice stroll around Selwyn...or a wee bit of shoe shopping!
What an opportunity it was in 2015 to work alongside Sylvia, Amanda as well as the Establishment board; people so passionate and driven about education, creating the framework for the new school and watching the site change from a paddock to the amazing school it is today. I am really passionate about the environment and science in particular and so I am looking forward to giving our kids lots of opportunities to learn about the amazing world around them and how and why we need to look after it.

When I'm not in Rolleston I am adventuring with my family or spending time with friends. My parents live in Central Otago and I love to get home as often as possible. Another one of my favourite hangouts is at my husband's family bach at Lake Alexandrina, near Tekapo. We love to get out fishing and down there is the perfect spot to get out the fly rods and soak up the surroundings!

When I am not at West Rolleston Primary School I like to spend time with my family and my dog. I have three beautiful daughters - Ella is almost 12, Abigail who is nearly 10 and Ruby who is 7 in July and my husbands name is Ben. Our dog is an english cocker spaniel and is called "Lady" from lady and the Tramp. We love taking her for walks, going for bike rides and camping.
